Certificate in Opticianry is a Programme that
prepares individuals to be a part of the
Ophthalmic Dispensing profession. The program
will prepare the graduates to be competent and
can demonstrate professional services in the
context of their job scope, such as, adapt and
fit corrective eyewear, as prescribed by
ophthalmologists or optometrists; to assist
patients in selecting appropriate frames; and to
prepare work orders for ophthalmic laboratory
technicians. Includes instruction in geometrical
optics; ophthalmic optics; anatomy of the eye;
optical instrumentation; use and maintenance of
adjustment and cleaning tools; prescription
interpretation; basic knowledge in contact lens
adaptation and fitting; facial and eye
measuring; record-keeping; and patient and
business administrative tasks.

The primary purpose of this course series is to
provide a comprehensive programme of listening and
speaking skills to non-native English speaking
students who are not sufficiently skilled in these
areas to succeed in regular-entry courses at the
College. Because oral communications are so
central to learners in a College setting, the
four-level course series includes activities in
all levels to help students carry out academic
tasks in ways that are linguistically,
academically, and culturally appropriate.
The English Proficiency Programme of Institute
Optopreneur enables students with effective
language skills in English through its diverse,
rigorous, well-developed curriculum. Tis
programmed structure prepares the student to
build- up their language skills by learning
through , formal lectures in grammar and
vocabulary , participate in workshop activities
